About the Speaker:
Brad J Ward, Chief Explosion Officer at BlueFuego
Brad has been working in the Higher Education setting since college. He most recently worked at Butler University, where he served as the
Electronic Communication Coordinator in the Office of Admission for
nearly 2 years. As one of the few higher education professionals whose
work is focused in social media / social networking, web content,
email, and data research, Brad has taken web-based recruitment and
admissions to new levels.
With one year of Twitter usage at an institution under his belt, he provides tangible feedback and lessons from the experience.
His work at Butler has been featured in
several magazines and websites such as Campus Technology, University
Business, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Inside Higher Ed, Wired,
CNET, New York Times and more.
During his time at Butler, the University had two
record years of
enrollment in the school’s 152 year history. Applications had surpassed
the total number of apps for the previous year at the time of his
departure in January. His efforts, in addition to the
hard work of everyone in the Butler Admission Office, has helped them
achieve these goals year after year.
Brad is the co-creator of http://www.bloghighed.org, a site that aggregates many popular higher education blogs. He blogs at http://squaredpeg.com and has spoken at conferences around the world. To read what others say about Brad and his work, please visit http://tinyurl.com/aboutbrad.
You can find Brad on Twitter at @bradjward. You can email him at brad(at)bluefuego.com.

Here is what attendees have said about Brad's previous presentations:
"That really was a fantastic presentation, congratulations bud!" - Kyle
"I've never seen such a buzz re: a presentation on twitter. I'm dying that I'm not there to hear it..." - Tom
"Great presentation! I've got many ideas to take back to my school. Very helpful as a newbie in higher ed." - Jess
"Brad, This
was wonderful information and our undergraduate recruiters from various
academic units learned a great deal from today's webinar. Your
presentation was both informative and inspiring. If you host
another one, we will sign up! Your information is inspiring and
critical in the light of the changing face of college admissions in the
21st century." - IUPUI
"When I spoke at the Stamats event in Tampa, I was excited that so many
people in the audience were really tuned in to the notion of what
social media could do for their higher education marketing. But who
stole the show, in my eyes, was Brad J. Ward. His speech [The
Recruitment Long Tail] was both passionate and value-driven. You could
do something with his speech. And that lesson, adding value to the
passion, is what I took away from that part of that event.” - Chris Brogan
